Our heritage
The Rombola Family has been farming for over fifty years, since they arrived in Australia in the 1950s from Calabria, Italy. They were part of a large group of migrants who helped transform Australia’s Riverina and surrounding areas into a dynamic, enterprising agricultural region.
Today, the Rombola Family Farm sits on over 4,000 hectares of premium horticultural land in New South Wales and the Northern Territory. The company employs more than 300 seasonal contract employees and supplies produce to all capital cities across Australia.
The Rombola Family Farms brand is synonymous with quality, and our commitment to excellence has helped us become one of the leading suppliers of fresh produce in Australia under two flagship brands: Rombola Family Farms and Green Gro.

Where we are
Inspiring the Riverina and Katherine regions
Rombola Family Farms is centrally located within the highly productive agricultural Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area of New South Wales and Mataranka in the Northern Territory.
The Riverina area, where the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area is located, has low-lying flood plains, a warm to hot climate, and an ample supply of water for irrigation that is diverted from the Murrumbidgee River.
This region is regarded as Australia’s food bowl and is one of the most productive agricultural locations nationwide. Mataranka, a small town in the Northern Territory and is home to the Roper River. The region is home to a sub-tropical climate with distinct wet and dry seasons. Rombola Family Farms’ central location and transport infrastructure enable rapid delivery from farm to market.
Our systems allows traders to receive fresh produce in a efficient time frame from picking. Our Rombola Family Farms are an ideally located for growing and distributing fresh produce throughout Australia.
